Why should I use an energy consulting company?
The energy markets have become very complex due to energy deregulation. From shopping for 3rd party supply rates to choosing the correct utility distribution schedule, having an expert in your corner is your competitive advantage. While many businesses could make these decisions independently, most do not have time to become energy experts.
What will it cost me to use Apollo?
Apollo provides most of its services to our clients at no upfront cost. When we recommend 3rd party energy supply rates, our fee is paid in the form of a commission from the energy brokerage house, not from you. When we find refunds for utility over billings, we simply bill a percentage of the refund. If we do not find anything, it does not cost you anything. Some of our energy efficiency projects have associated costs, but we will always outline your return on investment.
How does Apollo determine what is right for my business?
Apollo conducts a thorough analysis of each client's energy portfolio. We look at energy usage patterns, billing data, and trends to determine the best-fit products for your business. For example, many of our competitors are selling fixed-rate energy supply products because they are simple to understand and to sell. If you are using a large majority of your power during off-peak hours, you might save more money with a different type of energy supply product. In this case, we might recommend a time-of-use product where your energy is cheaper during the off-peak hours. These are the types recommendations and expertise Apollo delivers to our clients.
What do you need to get started?
To get started on our analysis, we simply need a signed Letter of Authorization from you and a recent copy of your bill for each account.
What is the Letter of Authorization?
The Letter of Authorization gives Apollo the authority to contact the local utility companies on your behalf to request your historical usage data needed for our analysis. The Letter of Authorization, sometimes referred to as the LOA, is non-binding and can be revoked by you at any time. Think of it as a permission slip for us to get the information we need to conduct a proper analysis of your accounts. You can review the LOA by clicking here.
What is a Letter of Exclusivity?
If you are interested in getting aggressive 3rd party energy supply quotes, our recommendation is to sign a Letter of Exclusivity, sometimes referred to as the LOE. This letter names Apollo as your exclusive representative when gathering 3rd party energy supply quotes. The LOE indicates to the 3rd party energy suppliers that you are a serious buyer and not just "crying wolf", and works to your advantage in gaining competitive bids. You can review the LOE by clicking here.
How long does the analysis take?
Our energy analysis typically takes 5 - 15 business days depending your number of accounts, their size, and complexity. Multi-utility or multi-state customers could take up to 6 weeks to complete a thorough analysis.
